About the Author

Jennifer loves reading and writing clean romance. She believes that happily ever after is not just for stories. Jennifer enjoys interior design, rollerblading, clogging, jogging, and chocolate. In Jennifer's opinion there are few ills that can't be solved with a warm brownie and scoop of vanilla-bean ice cream. Jennifer grew up in rural Alabama and loved living in a town where "everybody knows everybody." Her love for writing began as a young teenager when she wrote stories for her high school English teacher to critique. Jennifer has BA in English and Social Sciences from Brigham Young University where she served as Miss BYU Hawaii in 1989. Before becoming an author, she worked as the owner and editor of a monthly newspaper named The Senior Times. She now lives in the Rocky Mountains with her family and spends her time writing and doing all of the wonderful things that make up the life of a busy wife and mother.

I'm really enjoying this new series and this book was no exception. I love the depth of character of the leading men and how they care about others, even though they are wildly popular through football and their good looks.
Ace is a guy who values his family and friends and protects them, including Silver who was a friend for a long time even though she married someone else. This book brings them back together.
My favorite things about this book are the strong family connections and Gracie, Silver's sweet little daughter who rocks an extra chromosome. Fabiana and the rest of her family are awesome, too. My heart breaks for Silver's sacrifices and her pain.
They need to overcome interference and obstacles like they haven't been able to before.
The result is a sweet clean romance with some great history, funny moments, and confusing circumstances all taking place around people I wouldn't mind meeting in real life.
And now I'm craving Mexican food. Enjoy!

This story was pretty high on the angst level for me. I think I felt more than the characters did. I liked the main characters but felt a little frustrated by Silver's choices. She really did have the ex-mother in law from hell. And I disliked her ex as well. Talk about a dysfunctional family... The MIL reminded me a little of the mother on Gilmore Girls, only worse.

As I read the book I really couldn't see how this was going to end happily. It wasn't obvious to me how it would play out. I thought it might go in one direction but it didn't. How can the innocent win over such evil people? Kept me wondering right up until the end. I was glad that Silver was in the end able to fend for herself instead of being saved.

I don't know how realistic much of the book was but perhaps that is because I've never been involved with the rich and famous. Maybe some are exactly as the author depicts.

I did enjoy the read though even if it maybe isn't totally realistic. I can suspend disbelieve to enjoy a good book. And I enjoyed it.

I continue to enjoy the novels in this series. Was an enjoyable novel. The pace of the story was great and the historic elements of the relationships added to the intrige. Ending was well orchestrated and thought out. Silver was a great character in the story.
